ABOUT TIMA ACADEMY

TOLCHOU IBETON MEMORIAL ACADEMY was founded th on 11 March 2016. The Academy is a co-educational institute and run by the Tolchou Ibeton Memorial Academy Trust, a non- profit making organisation which is committed to the cause of better education in the state of Manipur. The Academy is at present managed under the norms of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. The Academy is spread in the midst of lustrous green field by the side of the Mayai Lambi (Irabot Road), a state highway which originates from Imphal city down to the Sugnu Bazar in Kakching District. On the Eastern side of this state highway runs the Nambul river and beyond this small but beautiful river stands the Heibok hill range spreading northward up to the Southern part of Manipur University. It is at the top of the Northern part of this hill range, called Langthabal Kunja that the historical monument site of one time palace of Manipur is located. On the Southern side of the Academy we can glimpse a distant view of the colourfully decorated temple of Hiyanthang Lairembi atop the hillocks. Immediate surrounding areas are green fields and small water bodies. The Academy thus stands calmly in the dale of a scenic beauty. The academy runs from Pre-Nursery to Class X at present and is under the process for upgradation to senior secondary.

Discipline/Behaviour/Do’s & Don't’s ·

Students should come to Academy in full uniform neat and clean. ·

All students must adhere to discipline and have polite manners. ·

Use of any form of intoxicants is completely prohibited and punishable leading to expulsion from the Academy. ·

Parents cannot threaten/manhandle any teaching or non-teaching staff of the Academy. Any serious matter must be brought to the notice of the Principle/Manager immediately. ·

Students should not indulge in cheating and unfair means in Examinations and if found shall be punished/expelled. ·

Students can't leave the Academy during school hours without a written permission from the Principal. ·

A student should submit leave application whenever a student is absent/is going to be absent to the class teacher/Principal as the case may be. ·

Students should not draw/write anything on the walls, desks, benches. Any damage done to the property of the Academy by the students shall attract punishment including recovery of the cost of the property damaged with intimation to their parents. ·

Students are not allowed to wear/use valuable ornaments or articles in the Academy and the authority of the Academy cannot be held responsible for any loss of such items (if they use). · Students should speak in English in the Academy campus in order to encourage/improve the fluency in English communication. ·

Students should not forge the signature of parents/guardians because it is a serious offence and appropriate action will be taken against such students
